FeatureNursingPhysiotherapy
Job-market profile Yes — Nursing currently has a strong job-demand signal. In September 2026, public listings showed many nursing openings across hospitals, clinics, schools, HMOs and other employers. The wider Medical/Healthcare job field also grew 5.9% from 2024 to 2025 in the published MyJobMag benchmark. That 5.9% is for the wider field, not Nursing alone. Our own Nursing-only percentage increase should only be published after the dated vacancy corpus has been fully deduplicated. Physiotherapy is a legitimate healthcare career in Nigeria, but the job market is relatively small. There are real opportunities in hospitals, private clinics, rehabilitation, home care and wellness, but many advertised roles ask for experience and a valid professional licence. If your main goal is to get a well-paying job quickly after graduation, you should understand these challenges before choosing the course

Professional qualifications Professional registration is a major part of Nursing. Specialist nursing areas can require extra training. Overseas practice has a separate registration process. The Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB) regulates Physiotherapy in Nigeria. Its current guidance states that regulated professionals must have a valid and current licence to practise. The professional pathway also includes registration, induction, internship and other Board requirements. MRTB currently lists approved Physiotherapy internship facilities across Nigeria. What Do You Need After Studying Physiotherapy? Learn about MRTB registration, internship, professional licensing, CPD and additional certifications. View Physiotherapy Certification Guide
